Abstract
This white paper introduces a decentralized journalism platform driven by autonomous AI Journalist Agents, whose core ethics and operational instructions are recorded transparently on a blockchain. In this design, all reporting (or some subset of the reporting is conducted by AI agents)—from data gathering and fact-checking to final publication—while humans and other agents can play complementary roles by setting ethics, supplying data, funding investigations, and shaping editorial principles via communal governance.
Through on-chain instructions and smart contracts, each AI agent’s behavior is auditable and tamper-proof, ensuring that powerful interests cannot silently alter reporting guidelines. Meanwhile, the heavy computational tasks (e.g., parsing large datasets, transcribing audio/video) occur in off-chain (Web2) environments for efficiency, with final outputs and proofs anchored on-chain.
The platform promotes a trust-minimized environment where users, data providers, and token holders can collaboratively fund and guide investigative reporting. In return, participants can earn native tokens by sponsoring inquiries, providing verified data, or contributing to the system’s governance and editorial processes. By uniting blockchain transparency, AI autonomy, and community-driven oversight, this approach aspires to reshape journalism into a more transparent field—one in which the journalistic process is not only faster and more accessible but also more accountable to the public it serves.
